Where did I come from and why am I here?

The art of body movement has been a passion of mine since I was a young child, even though I had no conscious awareness of it at the time. As a multi-sport athlete through high school I never missed a game due to injury; however, my joints hurt constantly for reasons that were only a mystery to the medical community. During my final year at UW-Whitewater I decided to have Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) reconstruction on my left knee after yet another “blow out” playing volleyball. Such experiences kept me continually focused on the trends of pain and how my body responded to exercise.

I spent my first seven years post-graduation developing a business career and, six months prior to turning thirty, decided to make an evolutionary shift into the field of personal training. It was time to follow my passion for health and wellness by coaching others to overcome perceived obstacles.

The best decision I made occurred when I became certified with the C.H.E.K Institute and chose Paul Chek as my primary Guru. Please click on the C.H.E.K logo at the bottom of the page to better understand how the Institute is "implementing the art and science of performance and well-being".

I love helping others succeed. The process of coaching someone from one milestone to another is streamlined when that person is committed to change. For this reason I ask you to consider my services if you are ready to open your mind to new ideas and appreciate the value of a holistic approach.

What does it mean to 'value a holistic approach'?

The human body is a system of systems and everything is connected in one way or another. Exercise alone will only take you so far, it is essential to consider the impact your water, food, and environment have on your rate of change. You will be asked to modify certain habits based on conclusions we arrive at together. This is a process of developing consciousness of lifestyle through awareness of self.
